Limp Celery (no thanks)

For most of my nutrition clients, the crisper drawer becomes the Drawer of Death. It’s where good intentions go to die, like the limp celery and slimy zucchini you meant to get to before they died a slow, rotten death in the back of your fridge.
Happy 2-Tips Tuesday!
Here are two ideas to consider this week.
By Jennifer Broxterman, RD
1. Limp Celery (no thanks)
A phrase I love saying: “make the healthy choice the easy choice.”
For brand new nutrition clients, I often start by teaching them my Veggie Bucket hack.
Why? Because otherwise… the crisper drawer becomes the Drawer of Death. It’s where good intentions go to die, like the limp celery and slimy zucchini you meant to get to before they died a slow, rotten death in the back of your crisper.
Can anyone else relate?
Catch the explainer video if you missed it last week. It will make you a better nutrition coach, I promise!

2. Simple Scales. Fancy Fails.
“Simple scales. Fancy fails.”
– Sahil Bloom
Here are 3 ways I keep things simple in my own nutrition practice:
- Templates = predictable excellence.
I use simple video + email templates to respond to new inquiries. It makes onboarding smooth and helps me close more leads with way less effort. - Clarity > people pleasing.
Once I got clear on who I do and don’t serve, everything clicked. Saying no to the wrong clients opened space for the right ones (and business actually improved!). - Automation that adds value.
Every PRO$PER student gets access to my 6-week Powerful Progress program, a plug-and-play habit system I layer into 1:1 coaching that runs seamlessly inside Coach Catalyst. It helps clients get early wins without piling more work on my plate.
→ Real life win: While coaching my nutrition client Hugo, we kicked things off last month with a 60-minute assessment. Even with just one session so far, he’s already down 7 lb — that’s the power of automation with impact.
We do one deep-dive coaching call per month (45-60 min), while my automated nutrition program runs quietly in the background, delivering daily habits and client wins.
And yes, every PRO$PER student gets access to this exact plug-and-play program inside the certification!ββ
Simple. Scalable. And it works.
