When people talk about you behind your back
When people talk about you behind your back, it can be the best marketing your nutrition business ever gets. Here’s how to build a reputation that gets clients recommending you and sending new referrals your way.
2-Tips

Kind Nerd Note: How I use people talking behind my back to my advantage.
Tip #1:
I’m being talked about behind my back
People will talk about you behind your back. You can’t stop it from happening.
But, you can use it to your advantage.
The two biggest compliments and best predictors of revenue in my own nutrition business are when people gossip about me.
It’s actually a good thing, let me explain.
I pay really close attention to:
1) Word of mouth referrals
2) What people say when they leave public Google reviews
And last week, I had a lot of people talking about me behind my back in my two businesses.
NutritionRx - my 1:1 nutrition coaching business.
“A friend of mine sent me your link.” (March 7)
- Michelle M.

“Jennifer and her program has been exactly what I needed to finally kickstart my health journey.” (March 6)
- Alexene M.

“Jen is the best! She creates a friendly and comfortable environment with no judgment.” (March 4)
- Natalie J.

“I’m just finishing my first 6 weeks with Jen at NutritionRx and I honestly can’t say enough good things. I’ve already lost 13 pounds.” (March 3)
- Leanne E.

And PRO$PER Nutrition Certification - my training and 1:1 mentorship program for nutrition coaches.
“I had a really great experience throughout my certification process.” (March 7)
- Coleby A.

“Prosper Nutrition is a great course for nutrition coaches who want to expand their coaching beyond traditional methods.” (March 6)
- Daljit C.

That’s 5 Google reviews and 1 word-of-mouth referral in the past 7 days.
Like I said, it’s been a busy week of online chatter.
Since you can’t stop people from talking about you behind your back, use it to your advantage.
Encourage it.
Screenshot it.
Share and promote it when it happens.
Become so good at what you do that people can’t help but pass on your information to their family and friends, and tell the world about what a great experience they had working with you.
It took me about five years as a nutrition coach to earn a gossip-worthy, “You HAVE work with Jen!” reputation.
Now I don’t even formally market my services, and I’m booked solid for the next few months.
It’s a fantastic problem to have, being talked about behind your back. ;)
And if you need some help further developing your nutrition coaching skills so you get talked about behind your back in such a positive way, I love mentoring nutrition coaches at all different levels to get these kinds of results in their own business.
