I hired TWO coaches on vacation

Kind Nerd Note: Even good coaches need coaches.
Tip #1:
I hired TWO coaches on vacation
I just got back from an epic trip to Tofino, British Columbia, where apparently my vacation theme was: hire someone who knows what they’re doing. :)
First up: off-road motorcycle training.
I already know how to ride a motorcycle, and I’ve owned a bike for years. But riding a specialty off-road motorcycle through the forest, over technical terrain, and up the side of a mountain was a whole different skill set.
So my husband and I hired a coach.
We spent two full days training at a specialized off-road park filled with dirt, rocks, rivers, hills, log bridges, and all kinds of fun stuff to ride through, over, and occasionally fall into. :)
Then on day three, we got to put those new skills to work.
We followed our personal guide off-road and rode our motorcycles up a mountain.
Because we had someone experienced teaching us the technical skills AND showing us where to go, we made it all the way to the top and ate lunch with THIS view:

Did everything go perfectly? Absolutely not.
At one point I dumped my bike on a tight turn and sent it down into the forest, where I got tangled up in a wild raspberry patch. 😂
Thankfully, between my husband and our guide, we hauled it back out and kept going.
Then we got to Tofino to surf.
I’ve surfed a bunch of times before, too. But instead of renting boards and spending half the day remembering what the heck we were doing, my husband and I hired a private surf coach for three hours.
Within minutes, we were back up on our boards and riding waves.
Meanwhile, plenty of people around us were trying to figure it out themselves with rented surfboards. Same ocean, same basic goal, but a very different experience.

And it reminded me why I still hire coaches even when I’m already pretty good at something.
Having skills and experience doesn’t mean you’ve outgrown coaching. There’s always another level to learn, and having someone more experienced beside you can get you there a whole lot faster.
So no regrets with hiring an off-road motorcycle coach AND a surfing instructor. It definitely made for a fun vacation!
Tip #2:
One Spot Just Reopened
This is actually a pretty perfect example of why so many experienced nutrition coaches go through PRO$PER.
A lot of the coaches who join me are already certified nutrition coaches. They have their Precision Nutrition Level 1 or Level 2. They’re ACE, NASM, WAG, or ISSA certified. Some have been coaching real clients for years.
They’re not starting from zero.
They come to PRO$PER because they want to get better at what they already do, with an experienced coach beside them.
That means upgrading their nutrition coaching skills, yes.
But it also means bringing their actual business into our 1:1 mentoring calls and working through the things that are specific to THEM: getting more clients, improving retention, increasing their income, refining their offers, and becoming the kind of nutrition coach people rave about and refer their friends to.
My August cohort officially closed on August 19.
But one of the coaches who enrolled had a personal situation come up and needed to move their enrollment to January.
Which means I unexpectedly have ONE spot available again.
If you were thinking about joining this round and missed the deadline, you just got another chance.
You can fill out the short application here. It includes all the program and pricing details:

I’m only reopening the one mentorship spot that became available. Once someone takes it, this cohort is full again.
Stay kind + nerdy,
❤️🐻🌈
